GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.--  Paula Begoun, also known as the "Cosmetic Cop," joined us today via satellite to give us her top tips for buying makeup this spring. 

Paula's book, Don't Go to the Cosmetics Counter Without Me, is now in it's 8th edition and is packed with reviews on just about every beauty product in stores today. 

Paula said it's important to buy face cream with sunscreen.  Paula also said consumers should avoid buying products packaged in jars, because it depletes the effectiveness of the product and can cause bacteria build-up.  Paula also mentioned that people don't need to invest in eye cream, because many don't contain sunscreen, and the skin around your eyes is no different than any other part of your face.
