Breast cancer directly affects 1 in 8 women in Minnesota, and nearly everyone has been touched through a family member, neighbor or co-worker by this disease. This morning, Dr. Lynne Eldridge, author of Avoiding Cancer One Day at a Time joined us with a preview of this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Association Conference.
This year's BCAA event will address prevention through an emphasis on epigenetics (how the environment affects your genes and can predispose you to cancer), educate on the latest treatments, and highlight what's happening in both Eastern and Western medicine to address breast cancer.
The BCAA Conference will be held October 3 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. For more information or to register, visit the Breast Cancer Awareness Association website at www.bcaamn.org.
You can find Dr. Lynne Eldridge's Avoiding Cancer One Day at a Time in bookstores everywhere.
